This level segment’s look was based on Flemish and Dutch cities. While doing the level block out, I wanted to capture the feel that tourists feel when navigating these cities. The central square is the main destination, but you have many different ways to get there and through the design, I try to encourage the player to see all that the city has to offer. All of the models were made in Maya. The textures that are shown are the ones that I created in Substance Designer. The other materials such as the roof tiles and fabric for the awnings are from AmbientCG. The foliage assets are from Quixel.
